Should our descendants discover extraordinary things about this world far into the future, should they set foot on planets we can only see dimly through telescopes, should they live with extraordinary technology that to us would be science fiction, but to them is just prosaic, the love of Christ will be greater still.
It is also important to understand what is meant by “the invitation.” Simply put, it is the offer God has made to provide salvation to those who believe in Him and follow through with His commands to receive salvation.
What can we learn from this account? That God responds to the person who appeals to him for justification, not because of that person’s righteousness, but because of God’s grace, His mercy, and His desire to forgive.

These all share a common spirit with the great characters of the Bible: they see in their temptations, trials, afflictions, and persecutions a special opportunity to be like Christ, to demonstrate their fidelity to Him, and to provide a source of strength for those who might be weak and wavering around them
These kinds of divisions come up in the church, and they are ultimately personality conflicts rather than actual conflicts of right and wrong.
These good saints loved the Lord and loved Paul; because of this, they wanted to be a part of his work.
Leaders and nations who seek to rival God are these monsters rising from their own chaotic waters.
Mythical “Satans” abound, but there is no biblical evidence that the devil ever manifested himself as a bat-winged, cloven-hoofed creature dressed in a red suit and armed with a pitchfork. Like Jesus, his personal appearance is never described, but his spirit and ideas are discussed at length.
