All in Faith

Belief When Believing Seems Impossible

Let us consider this: What is harder? Causing a mountain to move, or rising from the dead? If we have already come to accept that Jesus rose from the dead, and that through his life we too shall find hope in His resurrection, then why do we find the statement about moving mountains so difficult?

Robust Faith

A robust view of faith — true biblical faith — will consider faith as a trust that acts, an allegiance to God that is fully invested in His will and His way.

Foolish Disregard

When we live in this manner, we trivialize God in the most blasphemous way. Unlike the atheist who believes there is no God to be dealt with, we believe that we don’t really have to deal with the God who does exist.

Surpassing Knowledge

Should our descendants discover extraordinary things about this world far into the future, should they set foot on planets we can only see dimly through telescopes, should they live with extraordinary technology that to us would be science fiction, but to them is just prosaic, the love of Christ will be greater still.

Is Primitivism Still Relevant?

While this method of seeking authority has never been mainstream, recent years have seen some of its former advocates dismiss the approach. CENI (command, example, necessary inference), the term to which some have relegated the idea, is viewed as unsustainable. Instead, some who once sought authority in this way have moved on to the second philosophy of adaptation. Such a move beckons the following question: “Is primitivism still relevant?”
